About Our School

Neasden Primary School had 266 pupils on roll in the Spring term 2024 which is similar to the national average. The school is organised into single year groups classes with a combined Reception and Nursery EYFS provision.

The school was part of the Priority Schools Building Programme so we have a brand new school building which was completed in February 2015. Neasden has a real family feel and we pride ourselves in going the extra mile for any of our children.

The main electoral ward served by the school is Ings and the level of deprivation is high with 60% of our children coming from deprived or very deprived areas. The percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals is 38% which is above the national average. The number of pupils at the school with English as an additional language is below the national average.

Our curriculum is designed to provide life enduring and life enhancing skills as well as academic achievement for all children. The curriculum is driven through our core values of Resilience, Creativity, Respect and Ambition.

Core Value Tokens and House Points

Children are rewarded coloured tokens in recognition of following our core values. These are also known as house points.

  • Blue – Resilience

  • Purple – Creativity

  • Green – Respect

  • Red – Ambition

Staff hand out tokens/house points to pupils for positive behaviours throughout the school day. Teachers also nominate one child each week to receive an award in our core value themed good work assembly each Friday. The tokens are then brought to the collection tubes at the school office to continue to promote our core values throughout the school year and the house points are recorded on a chart in the classroom.

Golden House Points

We have recently introduced golden house points where children are rewarded a yellow token for being polite and courteous. The house points continue to be recorded on each classroom’s chart and the tokens are collected in a jar at the school office.

House Point Rewards

Children that achieve 50 house points receive a certificate, a pencil and Headteacher’s sticker from Mrs Drinkall.

Children that achieve 100 house points receive a book of their choice from our book vending machine in our school library.

Once the golden house point jar is full, there will be a whole school reward.

We are really happy with our children and happy with everything.
