About Our School

Neasden Primary School had 285 pupils on roll in the Summer term 2017 which is similar to the national average. The school is organised into a combination of single year groups and mixed age classes .

The school was part of the Priority Schools Building Programme so we have a brand new school building which was completed in February 2015.Neasden has a real family feel and we pride ourselves in going the extra mile for any of our children.

The main electoral ward served by the school is Ings and the level of deprivation is high with 41% of our children coming from deprived or very deprived areas. 63% of our children come from out of our catchment area. The percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals is 26% in line with national.. The number of pupils at the school with English as an additional language is below the national average. Other than English, Polish, Lithuanian , Slovakian and Russian.

We strive to develop our curriculum, with staff and children, to provide life enduring and life enhancing skills as well as academic achievement

School Improvement Priorities 2017/18
To improve reading and writing outcomes in Foundation Stage from 63% to 70% in line with national.

To increase the percentage of children in key stage 1 achieving greater depth in reading , writing and maths from 14% , 9 % and 9 % to closer to national at 20%

To improve outcomes in reasoning in lower and upper key stage 2 from 16 /40 to 25/40 in regards to two step problems .
