Medical Matters

During your child’s first year, they will have vision and hearing tests to check if they require any additional support. Children in Reception and Year 6 also undergo a height and weight check.

The dentist team also visit the school biannually to check pupils teeth. Consent forms for this are provided when children start with the school. If you wish to change your permission please contact the school office.

If during your child’s time at school your child has a medical condition or you are worried about any aspect of their health, please let us know so we can support your child in school.

Medical Tracker

At Neasden Primary, we use Medical Tracker to inform parents if their child has had a minor accident whilst at school. Parents are notified via email details of the incident and the first aid provided.

If a child is considered to be too ill to remain in school, families are contacted via telephone, therefore it is important that your contact details are kept up to date.

Brush Bus

The school is part of the Brush Bus Scheme which is a is supervised tooth brushing activity that takes place every day. The programme is an innovative and award winning oral health initiative aimed at reducing the prevalence of tooth decay by increasing exposure to fluoride for children.

Children are encouraged to brush their teeth after lunch each day. Brushes and toothpaste are provided by a local dental practice.

Never had any issues with bullying.
